Surreal, Or Just Real?

 

I saw this posted online as an example of surrealism, which is a word currently being BEATEN ALL OUT OF SHAPE by the landscum.  They used to use it to mean random ideas, images and sounds tacked together in a way that makes no sense, which is the original meaning of the word.  They also now use it to describe any moment that a featherless biped considers emotionally powerful or important.  Funny, because that is just about the opposite of the original meaning.

I suspect this was meant to be seen as surreal in the original sense, but if that's what the artist meant, I HAVE TO RESPECTFULLY DISAGREE.  If you're a member of the piscatorial world you will immediately see that this is an EMOTIONALLY POWERFUL, IMPORTANT image of WHAT WE ARE ABOUT.

The only surreal detail is that we are NOT FIGHTING THE MUSHROOMS.
